Some Other Personal Highlights

Selected to represent the Hetton Junior League in 1962/1963 while playing for Dawdon CW Juniors Scoring 50 goals for Dawdon CW Juniors in the 1962/1963 season Scoring my quickest ever goal in unusual circumstances Winning the double with Silksworth RAOB (Buffs) in the 1975/1976 season Playing alongside Ronnie Jobson with the 'Buffs' and in the same season playing alongside Charlie Grose for Silksorth CW. Two players that I greatly admired. Managing and coaching Dawdon CW and winning the Wearside League Cup, in my first season, beating Eppleton CW in the final after defeating the mighty Blue Star in the semi-final.  Achieving my FA Prliminary Coaching Badge despite being told at registration that I wouldn't pass because I would miss 4 of the 12 sessions because of holidays. In fact I was advised to leave it another year. Making an unbelievable number of friends.
